Kids for Conservation
Children raise money for bearded vulture’s new home.
Eight-year-old Lea Conti had heard about the plight of the Bearded Vultures and that there was an un-releaseable bird living at the Sanctuary. She asked her mother Wendi if she could have her birthday party at the African Baird of Prey Sanctuary and that instead of bringing her presents, her friends could donate money for bearded vultures. Wendi and Stef Conti made this happen for their kind daughter and they celebrated the occasion with goodies and cake surrounded by the Sanctuary raptors. Lea and her friends managed to put together R2369.35. This amount is enough to buy a role of wire for the new Bearded Vulture enclosure. A big thank you to Lea and friends!
